Royal Tunbridge Wells

The Royal Tunbridge Wells, a spa town in the South East of England, was granted its Royal title in 1909 by King Edward VII. The town has been patronised by royalty since 1639.

The Royal Tunbridge Wells has recently celebrated the 400th anniversary of the discovery of the chalybeate springs.

Some of the county's best examples of castles, stately homes and gardens - both great and small - can be found in the Tunbridge Wells area.
